Dear Friends,
So glad you are here today. I thank God always for the awesome people He has sent to Word of Grace.
Last week I shared how Saul, as so with the devil, hunts for our souls. Not just to kill or destroy us physically, but also inwardly in our souls.
Once a spirit of captivity has taken root in your life you will start to lose your sense of purpose, perhaps not your entire life's purpose, but some aspect of it.
This is the effects of how a spirit of captivity tries to destroy your purpose:
1. Identity – keeps you from feeling as if you fit in with the rest of the family of God and being able to see yourself as having an integral part in the kingdom.
2. Anointing – causes you to stop sensing God's presence.
3. Vision – you find yourself wandering from one thing to another, trying to find satisfaction.
4. Authority – you see yourself as an inadequate warrior with little anointing to stand victorious against evil forces.
5. Confidence – you feel as if you cannot finish anything. You become apologetic and unsure of yourself.
6. Surrounded – you feel surrounded and overwhelmed by your circumstances.
7. Empty – you feel as if you cannot get a fresh word or direction from the Lord. You don't know what scripture to read or even how to begin in prayer.
8. Intimdated – you run from your problems because you are too intimidated to address them.
9. Confused – you are divisive and disagreeable, don't know where you are headed in life.
10. Blind – you can no longer accurately discern the way of God.
